OUTCOME OF MONKEYPOX INFECTION IN GRAVIDA: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Monkeypox is a smallpox-like disease which an important globally emerging infectious caused by the monkeypox virus. WHO declared public health emergency on 23 July 2022. Most research infection in humans has not included pregnant people. However, previous studies pregnancy outcome of with smallpox viruses belonging to Poxviridae family have reported high mortality rates. This literature review aims determine effects monkey pox pregnancy. Methods: Writing reviews done searching Pubmed, Sciencedirect, Web Science, and Scopus databases. A search was carried out using keywords "outcome", "monkeypox", "pregnancy". Searches these are limited 2014 – 2023 (the last 10 years) then screening according inclusion exclusion criteria. Results: total three were reviewed qualitative descriptive method. The literatures reinforce each other
 finding signs symptoms neonates, besides that there also women who experience miscarriages. one states no transmission from neonates. Conclusion: findings this indicate impact closely associated risk miscarriage, intrauterine fetal death, vertical transmission, complaints due infection. Health workers advised be more alert cases relatively death endemic areas during epidemics.
